General Motors Core Brand Sales Rise 11% In June

Automaker General Motors Co. announced Friday that U.S. vehicle sales for the month of June grew 10 percent over last year, boosted by strong retail demand for fuel-efficient vehicles. Retail sales for the month also increased 16 percent from last year, and advanced 4 percent from the month of May.

General Motors to rehire laid-off workers at Wentzville plant

(KMOV) – General Motors announced that more laid off workers will be rehired at the Wentzville manufacturing plant. The facility is the only place where GM vans are made, and GM officials say orders for the cargo vans are up.
